Paraform is a recruiting marketplace where recruiters connect with companies that are hiring. Startups have a talent acquisition problem and we believe this is where recruiters come in.
There are many ‘automated’ recruiting solutions like AI screening etc but at Paraform, we believe that recruiting is fundamentally human. That’s why we chose a model (like a marketplace) that can facilitate a large volume of very personal human interactions at scale.
In this article, we’ll be going over how to get started as a recruiter on Paraform.
Once you create a recruiter account, you can browse all open roles with rewards on the Browse page. You can filter the roles by location, workplace, salary, role type, tech stack, and much more.
You can then click on a role to find out more about what they are looking for.
Once you select a role you want to work on, you have to apply & get approved before you can start sourcing and submitting candidates.
We do this to ensure the best user experience on both sides and also limit the number of recruiters who can work on a role.
There are 2 ways to apply to work on a role:
This is the most general way to apply for a role.
1. Click Apply to Recruit
2. Briefly share why you'd be a good fit
3. Decide if you want to anonymize your candidates (see below)
4. Click Request Approval
1. Click Submit a Candidate
2. Choose a candidate you've already sourced into Paraform (see below for How to Source candidates)
3. Upload a resume (optional)
4. Share any additional information about the candidate
5. Decide if you want to anonymize your candidates (see below)
6. Click Request Approval
What does anonymizing my candidates mean?
By default, other recruiters can see the backgrounds of your candidates and you can see the backgrounds of theirs. Checking this box means all information about your candidates and other candidates are visible only to the hiring team.
Who reviews my requests?
All requests are sent to shared inbox between Paraform Talent Partners and the Recruiter Success Team. Requests are typically reviewed within 24 hours. Learn more about the approval process here.
Do I have to actively source for a role if I'm approved?
No! You are welcome to request access to a role to submit just 1 candidate. You will not be penalized for withdrawing or not actively working on a role.
Once you’ve been approved, you will get access to a role dashboard:
Each role includes everything you need to start sourcing effectively: detailed hiring manager notes, ideal candidate and company profiles, role requirements, and outreach tips. It also includes tools to manage your candidate pipeline and message the hiring manager directly.
Hiring managers follow Paraform’s intake guidelines to provide a thorough brief—similar to a typical recruiter intake call.
Be sure to review all sections, including unique Paraform features like common rejection reasons and an anonymized candidate pipeline to help you calibrate quickly.
Whether it’s someone who is already in your network or a new candidate you found using LinkedIn recruiter, you can start submitting them once you get approved for a role.
To conveniently save LinkedIn profiles, take notes and have a CRM to manage candidates, we recommend using Paraform’s Chrome Extension
The Paraform Chrome Extension automatically saves a potential candidate’s LinkedIn profile to a role you are recruiting for on Paraform.
If the candidate gets back to you saying they are interested, you can easily submit their profile from where you saved them.
You can see your saved candidates either in your candidate CRM or role dashboard.
Important: Sourcing a candidate and submitting them are two different things. Sourcing a candidate saves them to your private CRM. Submitting a candidate sends them to the hiring manager. Candidates are not notified when they are sourced for a role.
Submitting a candidate is when the candidate gives you consent to submit their resume to a specific role.
1. Open your candidate's profile in the Candidate CRM.
2. Select the role from the left side bar.
3. Click submit in the top right corner.
4. Fill out the candidate submission form. Be sure to provide adequate detail and responses to candidate questions.
5. Confirm details and submit the candidate!
You and the candidate will receive a confirmation email. The candidate must confirm in the email that they consented to the submission.
The hiring manager will manage scheduling and logistics with your candidate. We strongly recommend you stay in close contact with your candidate to prepare them for interviews and understand their priorities.
In the event the candidate moves to final round and offer stage, we will connect you with the embedded Talent Partner and Hiring Manager to consult on offer details and close the candidate.
Happy recruiting!
